Worship at Heritage

Worship Services

A traditional worship service is held in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m., with announcements beginning at 10:55 a.m. Ushers are available at both entrances to provide you with a worship bulletin as well as to assist you with any needs you may have. The current worship bulletin may also be downloaded at the link to the right. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. The Communion table is open to all who are professed Christians.

Holy Communion

Heritage hosts and participates in joint services with several local congregations to celebrate Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday as well as Thanksgiving Eve. These services provide a wonderful opportunity for Heritage to connect with our neighbors in the Fort Hunt area.

Accessible Worship Services

Heritage Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia is very accessible to persons in wheelchairs from either the front or side entrances. The sidewalk is even with the parking area at the side entrance with easy access via a low ramp at the front. The building is all on one floor and there are no barriers or steps between sections of the building. Even our outdoor worship service is easily accessible from the parking area.

Hope and Healing Gatherings

On the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary, Pastor Holly Davis hosts a Hope & Healing gathering. The gatherings are a time for worship and intercessory prayer to leave our burdens with God, have our hope renewed and our hearts refreshed. Contact Pastor Holly at 703-360-9546 if you have questions.

Prayer Requests, Joys and Concerns

When you join us for worship, you'll see the prayer request cards in your pew. Fill out your prayer request and place it in the offering plate when it comes to you. If you're unable to be at church, you can still make a prayer request by contacting Pastor Bill Teng at 703-360-9546 or via email at pastor@heritagechurchva.org.
