Connect
Connect is very much a 21st-century word which connotes the ability to be "in touch." The whole social media premise is built on being "connected" to our friends, family, old classmates, and whomever else we wish! But how does it apply to us? It means for us to be connected in two aspects: vertical and horizontal — vertical, in our connection to God, as we respond to the love of God and worship him out of gratitude (Psalm 100); horizontal, in our connection to one another, as we build this community of faith by encouraging "one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another" (Hebrews 10:24-25). In short, as a congregation, we are to be "in touch" with God and with one another!
